A study into the distribution of green space in the UK found interesting results correlating preventable deaths with the amount of green space in a neighbourhood. In urban areas of the UK, the percentage of grassland was significantly lower in more deprived neighbourhoods. In most places, a 1% increase in green space lead to a 37% reduction in preventable deaths.
